BYD Qin L DM-i Hybrid Sedan Unveiled with 2100 Km Combined Range

BYD introduced the Qin L DM-i on May 28. The new hybrid sedan is the first car to feature the company’s all-new fifth-generation DM hybrid technology. This new system boasts the world’s highest engine thermal efficiency (46.06%) and low fuel consumption (2.9 liters/100 km). This gives drivers better efficiency and range. BYD The Qin L DM-i is a stylish sedan that combines advanced design with advanced technology. On the exterior, the car features BYD’s new family design with a bold front grille, sharp LED headlights like dragon crystals and a sporty fastback silhouette. The driver-oriented cockpit features a large central console screen (available in 12.8 or 15.6 inches) and a multi-function steering wheel for easy control. The high-end model offers features such as electric seat adjustment, ventilation and heating.

Powering the BYD Qin L DM-i is a plug-in hybrid system that combines a 1.5-litre engine with an electric motor. This is combined with BYD’s Blade Lithium Iron Phosphate battery technology to offer a combined driving range of up to 2100 km. Drivers can choose from two battery options. One is a low capacity battery that offers an electric range of 80 km and the other is a larger battery that offers a range of up to 120 km.
