According to the report of news agency PTI, fraudsters grabbed more than Rs 54 lakh from a 37-year-old pregnant woman resident of Mumbai. The special thing is that the woman was on maternity leave and wanted to earn money sitting at home. She fell into the trap of fraudsters.

According to the report, cyber fraudsters tricked the woman into doing freelance work. The work was very easy. The woman had to give ratings to companies and restaurants. The woman was promised that she would be given a good amount after completing 5 tasks.

It has been said in the report that after falling prey to the words of the thugs, the woman deposited Rs 54 lakh 30 thousand in different bank accounts within three days. Why the woman deposited this amount is not clear in the news. It is possible that he might have been lured into some trap. When the woman contacted the thugs after transferring the money, they could not reach her. Only then did the woman believe that she had been defrauded.

The woman immediately informed the cyber police of Navi Mumbai about the matter. Police have registered a case against four unidentified persons for committing online fraud. Also, a case has been registered under sections 419, 420 and 34 of IPC.
